“The Great Gatsby” collection
Tuesday 30 April 2013The famous American retailer Brooks Brothers has created a new limited edition menswear collection inspired by the latest cinematic adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s novel.
The collection is made up of formalwear and more relaxed daywear options, ranging from tuxedos, suits and shirts to shoes, ties and other accessories.
Released on April 15, the Gatsby looks have gone on sale in over 150 Brooks Brothers stores around the world. Premiering in New York City on May 1, “The Great Gatsby” is scheduled to open the 66th Festival de Cannes on May 15.

The International Opera awards
Wednesday 24 April 2013Known as the "new king of tenors", Jonas Kaufmann has won best male singer and the reader's award at the inaugural International Opera awards. His debut was in 2006 at the Metropolitan Opera in New York.
The Opera Awards Foundation started his activity last year, founded by businessman and opera buff Harry Hyman and Opera Magazine editor John Allison. Best female singer went to Nina Stemme.
Jonas Kaufmann defeated Welsh baritone Bryn Terfel, tenors Aleksandrs Antonenko, Piotr Beczala and Joseph Calleja, as well as bass-baritone Luca Pisaroni. There were a total of 1500 nominations from 41 different countries.
